Melissa T. Fairall,

With a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapeutic Assessment and Intervention, in addition to many years experience in administrative program planning and development, Melissa adds a multifaceted approach to the Cavender Health multidisciplinary team. She utilizes her expertise in assessment and intervention to assist the health care providers in the development & implementation of therapeutic lifestyle intervention strategies. She further serves as outreach and ombudsman for both current and prospective patients and as the primary spokesperson for the practice in the various realms of local & regional community, the business arena, and medical & professional associations.
Kirk A. Powers, PA-C
Physician Assistant & Exercise Physiologist
Kirk Powers is a graduate of Miami (of Ohio) University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health & Sports Studies with an emphasis on Exercise Science. He then went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Kettering college of Medical Arts. With experience in both orthopedics and neurosurgery, and a background in exercise science, Kirk possesses the perfect mix of skills to be a vital member of the healthcare team at Cavender Health. He brings a welcome, calm, yet serious approach to the practice of medicine.
Kirk has an interest in both the prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic syndrome, an interesting constellation of maladaptive cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, prothrombotic, and inflammatory abnormalities. This includes establishing and implementing treatment strategies for patients which involves moderate physical activity, weight reduction, rigorous blood pressure control, correction of dyslipidemia, and adequate glycemic control (prevention of pre-diabetes/insulin resistance). Kirk also has an interest in promoting optimal Men's and Women's Health with the overall goal being "Better Quality of Life".
